Pot Roast Country Girl Style!

Pot Roast
Carrots ( cut into 4" pieces)
Celery (cut into 1" pieces)
Potatoes ( peel and use whole, halfs or cut in quarters)
Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1 or 2 TBS Vegetable Oil

Brown the pot roast on the sides only using a tablespoon or two of heated vegetable oil.  Once the sides are all brown, place in a crockpot, sprinkle a packet of liption onion soup mix, set crockpot on high for one hour. Set on medium or low depending on your crockpot capabilities.  Cook for 2 more hours, then add carrots, potatoes, celery, and cook until vegetables are tender.


Blue Ribbon Country Girl Apple Pie!

3lbs Apples (Granny Smiths, peeled, cored, and cut to 1/2" thick)
1 cup of Wild Blueberries
3/4 tsp apple pie spice
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 TBS all-purpose flour

Combine sugars, vanilla, flour, and spices.
